Best hotels in Koh Lipe
Koh Lipe is one of the most beautiful islands in Thailand, located in the Andaman Sea near the border with Malaysia.
The island is part of the Adang Archipelago, which consists of ten islands, with Koh Lipe being the only inhabited one. This entire archipelago lies within the Tarutao National Marine Park, known for its pristine beaches, stunning nature, and excellent snorkeling.
Although Koh Lipe has gained more attention from tourists in recent years, it still isn’t overly crowded, and you can easily find peaceful, quiet beaches to enjoy.
LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION
Koh Lipe has three main beaches: Pattaya Beach, Sunrise Beach, and the smaller Sunset Beach.
PATTAYA BEACH is the main beach on Koh Lipe. It’s a long stretch of soft sand lined with hotels, bungalows, beach bars, restaurants, and massage places. You can snorkel directly off the beach, but during low tide, you’ll need to walk quite far out into the sea.
SUNRISE BEACH is often considered the most beautiful beach on the island. It’s home to the iconic sandbank just outside the Mountain Resort. You’ll find a wide range of accommodation here, including some luxury resorts. Sunrise Beach is connected to Pattaya Beach by Walking Street, which is just a 10-minute walk.
SUNSET BEACH is the most secluded and quietest of the three. Located on the northwest side of the island, it has a few hotels, bungalows, and small restaurants. It’s a bit further from town, but you’ll find better deals on accommodation and enjoy a more peaceful atmosphere.
